Generating community participation

LA Metro launched the intuitive NextGen Bus Study to evaluate the current bus network and recommend ways in which it could be improved. We partnered with Metro’s in-house design team to create a graphic system to generate interest and support for the study. The graphics emphasize the evolution of the bus network within the transportation ecosystem of Los Angeles. Utilized in all stages of the study, the graphics were applied to a wide variety of materials including posters at community meetings, website animations, and bus graphics.

Moving music forward

For a new marketing campaign, the Los Angeles Philharmonic decided to focus on its musicians as a way to generate enthusiasm for the latest season. Working closely with the in-house design team, imagery was developed to embody the energy of the classical music experience through layered portraits of the musicians. Brightly colored stage light images provided a colorful punctuation to the campaign, and the musician imagery reinforced the theme of the campaign “Moving Music Forward.”

Creating excitement for a folk art exhibition

Grandes Maestros is a folk art exhibit showcasing modern Latin culture. A marketing campaign was developed to attract a diverse audience to this unique exhibit. The campaign included environmental signage, an insert in the New York Times and a Los Angeles Times advertisement. The design evoked the personality of the objects and spirit of the countries while working within the established brand of the host museum.

Celebrating a symphony’s 10-year anniversary

For its 10th anniversary season, LA Phil’s marketing goal was to convey its innovative program and celebrate its contribution to the L.A. cultural scene. The design approach utilized the iconic architecture of the Walt Disney Concert Hall to communicate excitement about the LA Phil experience. Clear information design in the brochure allows ticket buyers to easily understand the package options available.
